IRTCES held a UNESCO Water Family Exhibition during the 3rd Asian International Water Week, showcasing the related work from IRTCES’ 40th anniversary, the UNESCO Water Family, the 50th anniversary of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP), and the UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia. The exhibition used multiple ways including display panels and promotional materials to present IRTCES’ development philosophy, cooperation platforms, and achievements to international delegates.

The exhibition content mainly includes the following four parts:

1.    IRTCES: includes the Center's 40-year development history, basic information, platform construction, as well as the research and training carried out.

2.    The UNESCO Water Family: consists of UNESCO's member states, Category 2 Centers, Chairs, Flagship Initiatives, etc. IRTCES is the first global Category 2 Center of UNESCO. The International Sediment Initiative (ISI) is one of its Flagship Initiatives. 

3.    The UNESCO IHP 50th Anniversary: covers the important development stages of IHP over the past 50 years, important time points, and major activities planned for next year. 

4.    The UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia: includes its background, purpose, and major activities carried out.
