In order to enhance the dissemination capacity of scientific
research results and improve the service level to authors and readers, IRTCES
organized the seminar of International Soil and Water Conservation Research
online on November 15, 2023.
This seminar focused on the journal's newly released series of
special issues on the frontiers of soil erosion research, and invited Dr. Bruno
K. Marchezepe of the University of S?o Paulo, Brazil, and the journal's
editor-in-chief, Prof. Baoyuan Liu of Beijing Normal University, to give
lectures on "Runoff prediction of unmonitored watersheds using the Glensky
method" and "Comparison and Quantitative Assessment of Two Regional
Soil Erosion Survey Methods", and shared and exchanged information with
global soil and water conservation colleagues on the problems in the research.
The seminar was hosted by Dr. Viktor Polyakov, researcher at the Southwest
Watershed Research Center of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and
deputy editor-in-chief of the journal, with technical support from the
journal's online publisher. The seminar received a warm response from the
global editorial team, the authors, and readers of the journal, with 45 on-site
interactions.
