Sino- Nigerian Seminar on Reservoir Sedimentation Technology held in the IRTCES

In order to promote partnership and cooperation between the RC-IRBM and IRTCES to share experiences on the operations of UNESCO Category II and Reservoir Sedimentation Technology, The Sino- Nigerian Seminar on Reservoir Sedimentation Technology has been smoothly held on February 6, 2017 in the International Research and Training Centre on Erosion and Sedimentation. The reporters for the seminar were experts from Nigeria, Prof. Alayande Adegoke Waheed, Prof. Eduvie Obada Martin, Prof. Adamu Caleb Ibrahim, Prof. Salami Ibraheem Adedotun, and experts from China, Deputy Director, Prof. Duihu Ning, Division Chief, Prof. Yangui Wang, Deputy Division Chief, Prof. Cheng Liu, Deputy Division Chief, Prof. Xiaoying Liu and Deputy Director of Department of Sediment Research, IWHR, Prof. Qingchao Guo.

Prof. Guangquan Liu presided over the Seminar. Other related researchers also attended the meeting. The thorough discussion and communication on reservoir sedimentation technology were made and intentions and contents for future cooperation between the two sides were discussed as well.

Besides, Nigerian experts visited the Experimental Site of IWHR in Daxing District of Beijing and discussed correlative technique problems with the experts there.
