On morning of July 19, 2016, Professor Ning Duihu, Deputy Director of the IRTCES met with Mr. Josh Dahi, Head of Publishing & Associations Thomson Reuters, and his 3 colleagues in Beijing Office.

Professor Ning Duihu gave a warm welcome to the visiting guests at first. Then, Mr. Josh Dahi reported “Best Practices for International Journal Development”. He proposed many constructive measures on how to raise the journal’s international impacts further.

Professor Fang Hongwei, chief editor of International Journal of Sediment Research (IJSR) briefed the development of IJSR. The two sides discussed on how to raise journal’s Retrieval rate. Dr. Qu Liqin introduced operation of International Soil and Water Conservation Research. The two sides also had discussion on new journal’s improvement and journal range’s issue.

Dr. Ning Bi introduced Thomson Reuters’ work flow, and put forward some useful suggestions on how to raise new journal’s influence and how to shorten peer review cycle. The two sides also had discussion on the issues both sides’ cares passionately about including new journal’s improvement and journal range’s issue.

Professor Lei Tingwu, chief editor of International Soil and Water Conservation Research, China from Agricultural University,  and Professor Chen Yuehong from the IRTCES attended the meeting.
