The International Symposium on River Sedimentation (ISRS) is a triennial conference series initiated in 1980 by the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society and supported by UNESCO. The International Research and Training Center on Erosion and Sedimentation (IRTCES) in Beijing serves as the permanent secretariat of ISRS. Nine such symposia were previously held in China, U.S.A., Germany, India, Egypt and Hong Kong, China, respectively. World Association for Sedimentation and Erosion Research (WASER) was inaugurated at the Ninth International Symposium on River Sedimentation in 2004.
The objective of ISRS is to provide an opportunity for scientist, engineers, researchers and decision makers to exchange ideas, research results, advanced techniques, and to share their information.

The host organization of the Tenth International Symposium on River Sedimentation (10-th ISRS) will be M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University

CALL FOR PAPERS AND IMPORTANT DATES
Papers addressing the Symposium are solicited and encouraged to be presented. An abstract of between 300-500 words in English ought to be submitted to the Secretariat of 10-th ISRS for review by the Scientific Committee. The abstract must include affiliation, mail address of the first author, fax number and e-mail address if possible. The time table is as follows:
