Chien Ning Prize for Erosion and Sedimentation

IRTCES, awards the Chien Ning Prize to outstanding sediment researchers and engineers, and manages the Chien Ning Memorial Foundation for Erosion and Sedimentation. The prize was commissioned by the Ministry of Water Resources of China in 1987. From its establishment to 2004, six award ceremonies have been held, and 22 individuals and 18 technical papers have received awards. In 2002, approved by the Office of Science and Technology Awards, the Chien Ning Prize was named the “Chien Ning Prize for Erosion and Sedimentation Studies”.
