International and Asian regional training programs:

The Asian Regional Training Project on Erosion and Sedimentation, led by Lin Bingnan, Wu Deyi, Zhou Zhide, and others, included 12 member countries and lasted from 1988 to 1992.

Led by Wu Deyi and Liu Xiaoying, the regional projects of the United Nations Development Programme and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, including the "Asia Participatory Watershed Management Training Project GCP/RAS/161/NET" (12 member countries) and the "Agricultural Resource Management Project RAS/93/062" (8 member countries), were implemented from 1992 to 1998. Over a period of 7 years, 36 experts were sent abroad for training and conference exchanges, 21 training courses at various levels were organized, and more than 3300 personnel were involved in training and consulting services.

More than 10 consulting experts were dispatched to undertake international consulting tasks for the United Nations Development Programme, World Bank, Asian Bank, and Deutsche Bank for Reconstruction.
